Halekulani Okinawa
Halekulani Okinawa is one of Okinawa’s best five-star hotels. It’s located in Onna Village in Kaigan Quasi-National Park.

Halekulani Okinawa sits within the protected Okinawa Kaigan Quasi-National Park, where emerald waters meet white sand along nearly two kilometres of Onna Village coastline. The first property outside Hawaii from the century-old Halekulani brand, this 360-room hotel opened in 2019 with interiors by New York's Champalimaud Design.
Guest rooms start at 50 square metres, each following the brand's 'Seven Shades of White' philosophy. White oak flooring, custom shoji-inspired dressers, and full-length windows frame uninterrupted sea views. Materials run quietly through travertine, marble, and teak. Five clifftop villas feature traditional red roof tiles, private heated pools, and natural hot spring baths.
Four restaurants include SHIROUX, serving innovative French-influenced cuisine from Michelin-starred chef Ken Sakamoto, and AOMI for seasonal Japanese dishes. House Without A Key offers all-day dining with live entertainment, while Bar Spectra captures sunset views through floor-to-ceiling glass.
The signature Orchid Pool - its floor composed of 1.5 million mosaic tiles - anchors five swimming pools across the property. SpaHalekulani draws on Okinawa's wellness heritage as one of the world's five Blue Zones. Forbes Travel Guide five-star rated.
