Il Sereno Lago di Como
Il Sereno is a 40-suite modernist hotel in Torno on Lake Como's eastern shore, designed by Patricia Urquiola of Studio Urquiola.

Il Sereno opened in 2016 on Lake Como's eastern shore, in Torno. Built on a former state-owned darsena (boathouse), the modernist building reinterprets Giuseppe Terragni's rationalist architecture with floor-to-ceiling glass and vertical wooden slats. Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola designed the 40 suites, from 50 to 200 sqm.
Suites use a neutral palette of green marble, soft blue and brown, with natural wood, stone and wool. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the lake and the southern Alps. Custom fabrics by Urquiola throughout.
Ristorante Al Lago by chef Raffaele Lenzi holds a Michelin star with seasonal Lombardy cooking. A 60-foot infinity pool is suspended over the lake. Vertical gardens by Patrick Blanc.
Set in Torno on Lake Como's eastern shore, 45 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport. Bellagio is a 40-minute boat ride to the north.
