Minos Beach Art Hotel
Minos Beach Art Hotel is Crete's original waterfront sanctuary where 125 whitewashed bungalows scatter among sculpture gardens along two kilometres of coastline.

Minos Beach Art Hotel occupies a private peninsula on Mirabello Bay, Crete's first internationally recognised property when it opened in 1963. The 125 whitewashed bungalows, villas, and suites cluster among gardens, rocky outcrops, and narrow stone-paved paths - so close to the water that some have private plateaus with ladders for swimming access.
Low-lying architecture follows the traditional style of eastern Cretan fishing villages. Interiors feature muted colours, tactile fabrics, natural woods, and occasional artifacts from bygone eras. Boho bungalows combine wood and wicker with minimalist Feng Shui elements. Villas include freshwater private pools and spacious indoor-outdoor living areas in stone-coloured hues. The G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation collection places over 55 contemporary artworks throughout the property and its Sculpture Garden.
Three restaurants and four bars serve cuisine using 100 per cent Greek produce. Bacchus reimagines the buffet with live cooking stations; La Bouillabaisse offers refined seafood and meze on its veranda; a traditional kafenio serves Greek coffee. The Ananea Wellness spa draws on Greek heritage for its treatments. Two private beaches offer secluded swimming.
Award-winning chef Kyriakos Mylonas and sommelier Poppy Kourkoutaki lead the culinary programme. Solar panels, automated energy systems, and local sourcing reflect environmental commitment. Agios Nikolaos town lies one kilometre away; Heraklion airport sits an hour west. The hotel delivers six decades of refined Cretan hospitality.
