Il Palazzo Experimental
Il Palazzo Experimental is a 32-room hotel in a Renaissance palazzo on the Giudecca canal, with interiors by Dorothée Meilichzon.

Il Palazzo Experimental occupies the former Adriatica naval transport headquarters, a Renaissance palazzo on the Zattere in Venice’s Dorsoduro district. French designer Dorothée Meilichzon led the conversion of the 32 rooms, blending Memphis Movement colours with traditional Venetian terrazzo, Marmorino walls and Breccia Capraia marble.
Rooms feature a Venetian palette of terracotta, sky blue, grey and deep red. Custom brass lighting, Luciano Vistosi glass lamps and arched furniture. Some suites have freestanding bathtubs and canal-facing balconies.
Ristorante Adriatica serves Italian coastal cuisine by chef Denis Begiqi. The Experimental Cocktail Club is designed by Cristina Celestino. A private garden in the rear faces a quiet canal.
Set in Dorsoduro, with the Giudecca canal at the front and a private pier at the rear. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is a short walk away.
