Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam
Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam is Piero Lissoni's architectural masterpiece in a former music school, with a soaring glass atrium and 1,000 sqm Akasha Spa.

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam creates one of Amsterdam's most striking architectural dialogues - Daniel Knuttel's 1897 neo-Gothic bank meeting Piero Lissoni's contemporary intervention. A full-height glass atrium underscores the contrast. The building's former life as a music conservatory echoes in a violin arrangement above the lobby.
The 129 rooms blend Lissoni's trademark grey hues with custom furniture from Cassina, Living Divani and Kartell. Duplex layouts in the original building lead to lofted bedrooms via open-riser steel stairs.
Taiko serves contemporary Asian cuisine. The Brasserie offers all-day dining beneath the soaring atrium. Akasha Holistic Wellbeing spans 1,000 square metres with swimming pool, jacuzzi and Watsu treatments.
The Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk sit directly opposite. The first Mandarin Oriental in the Netherlands. Repeatedly crowned the Netherlands' leading hotel.
