Room Mate Giulia
Room Mate Giulia is an 85-room hotel by the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, with interiors by Patricia Urquiola.

Room Mate Giulia occupies a late 19th-century building on Via Silvio Pellico, beside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and steps from Piazza del Duomo. Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola designed the 85 rooms across five categories, with custom Cassina furniture and a Milanese palette of pink marble, terracotta and moss green.
Rooms feature grid-print ceilings, octagonal mirrors and saturated mosaic-tiled bathrooms. Custom Cassina pieces sit alongside Joe Colombo Coupé lamps remade in copper by Oluce, with illustrations by local artists.
The lobby floor is pink marble - the same stone used in the Duomo. A curved terracotta brick wall creates a three-dimensional pattern. Breakfast is served until midday. Gym, sauna and meeting rooms.
Set on Via Silvio Pellico in central Milan, between Piazza del Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. La Scala is a five-minute walk.
