Casa Brivio
Casa Brivio is a 16-room hotel in a 1970s rationalist building in Carrobbio, designed by Matteo Thun for the Brivio Sforza family.

Casa Brivio occupies two 1960s and 1970s buildings between Torre Velasca and the Colonne di San Lorenzo, inspired by Luigi Caccia Dominioni’s rationalism. The hotel is a project by cousins Filippo and Alberico Brivio Sforza, with architecture by Matteo Thun & Partners and rooms by Cassina Custom Interiors.
The 16 rooms reference 20th-century Milanese masters - Portaluppi, Sottsass and Gio Ponti. Materials include dark-tinted oak, brown saddle leather, brass-toned aluminium, terrazzo floors and silk wallpaper.
There is no on-site restaurant. Breakfast is delivered from historic pasticceria Marchesi 1824, or served at the partner bistro Via Stampa. The hotel arranges curated visits to design districts and galleries.
Set in Carrobbio, south of Cinque Vie, with the Duomo a 10-minute walk and the Colonne di San Lorenzo Roman ruins three minutes away.
